Youth Climbing Programs

Youth Programs

Our Rock Dump Youth Climbing Clubs are fun and supportive programs designed to introduce youth to the exciting sport of climbing! Through games, climbing challenges, and guided instruction, youth climbers build confidence, strength, and problem-solving skills all while being active in a positive environment!

Our staff puts emphasis on safety, teamwork, and individual achievement, ensuring that each participant can grow as a climber. Our sessions include warm-ups, climbing time with ropes or in our bouldering area, and other activities to encourage skill development and safety in the rock climbing setting.

Our youth programs are getting a brand new look in 2026!

Basecamp - building a strong foundation before moving higher. This 10-week program introduces fundamental and core climbing skills as part of our new tiered program model.

Ascent - Our newest addition to the programs, this is our first intermediate level after school climbing club. Intended for ages 10-13. Designed for climbers who have completed Basecamp or a Rock Dump Skills Card, this 10-week program focuses on skill progression and technique refinement.

Summit - Formerly known as Crux Climbing Club, this is our advanced level after school climbing club. Intended for ages 12-17, this program is the highest step to our new tiered program model. This program is for climbers who have completed Ascent Club and are ready to begin their push to the Summit. This 12-week intensive program for dedicated youth climbers highlights advanced technique development, movement, and a positive climbing mindset.
